It is a little daunting going back to the same mountain for a second time- in your mind everything has to be perfect and nothing is left to chance except, of course, for the weather. The prospect of going back a third time was not an option. We went with Inka Expediciones and were happy with their service. We had issues with the food and calories we had received (being vegan), but in the end they got us to the summit safely and back down, and that is all we can ask. Problems with providing a vegan menu wouldn’t have been an isolated Inka Expediciones issue, South Americans in general have difficulty comprehending a diet that isn’t 90% charred meat, hence it would have been consistent among all South American operators.
